Participation of Lab’s member in workshop for the Promotion of Cretan cuisine
The workshop on “Information for Entrepreneurs Cretan Cuisine and Wine” was implemented within the project “GEFSIS TOUR” of the Operational Programme Cross Border Cooperation “Greece – Cyprus 2007-2013” under the “European Territorial Cooperation”, implemented by the Region of Crete and “Cretan Quality Agreement”.
The purpose of the workshop was the entrepreneurs engaged in gastronomy and wine to enhance their knowledge and upgrade their services to consumers as well as to project in a practical manner gastronomy as an element of local wealth to attract foreign visitors.
The member of e-BI Lab, Mr. Manos Perakakis said that “all catering businesses and wineries can be displayed better via social media, more widely via Internet and in a very low cost. Internet promotes in an excellent way gastronomic tourism. The positive is that the brand name “CRETE” abroad has a strong name. ”
During the workshop, issues relating to the actions of Crete and specifically Cretan gastronomy have been developed: the certification of Cretan products and the Quality Label Cretan cuisine of Crete, which is an important part of the Strategic Planning for the primary sector.
